Author Biography

Patricia Killelea, University of California, Davis

Patricia Killelea is a mixed-heritage Chicana poet, scholar, and musician. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Native American Studies at the University of California, Davis, where she has taught Native American Literature since 2009. She earned her M.A. in Creative Writing from UC Davis in 2008 and is the author of the poetry collection Other Suns (Swan Scythe Press, 2011). Her poetry appears widely in such journals as Quarterly West, Fulcum, Waxwing, The Common, As/Us: A Space for Women of the World and many others. In the fall of 2015, she will be an Assistant Professor of English at Northern Michigan University teaching Native American Literature and Creative Writing.
